Field Development

Zenocean has developed an enviable track record in field development engineering. Through our linked insight between engineers, analysts, designers and experienced offshore personnel we offer our clients an integrated service across a broad range of technical disciplines. In addition we maintain key alliances with best-in-class specialists in non-core areas of the business. This integrated approach to the delivery of services ensures that the gaps which so often exist between designers, builders, installers and maintainers are effectively bridged to ensure that 100% of knowledge and learning is captured and applied throughout the project lifecycle.

FEED Studies

Maximum value is added when Zenocean is able to access development projects at the earliest possible stage so that the issues of installability and maintainability are built in to the design. FEED work undertaken includes the North Terrace Tie-back for DNO Heather, the Amoco Halley development for AFP, the Buchan Alpha Relocation for Talisman, Phillips Kate and Tornado Fields and a range of subsea studies for Kerr McGee’s Gryphon Expansion Project. Additionally during 2002 Zenocean has developed a comprehensive subsea tie-back strategy for Kerr-McGee to enable the operator to develop subsea fields on a fast-track basis.

Installation Engineering

Zenocean has been involved in the installation of all the typical infrastructure associated with a subsea development – flexible and rigid risers, riser bases, flowlines, control umbilicals, subsea manifolds, subsea structures, mid-water arches etc. In many cases we have prepared the installation procedures and provided the offshore personnel to oversee the works on behalf of the operator.

Project Management

The management of subsea field developments on behalf of operators is a core activity for Zenocean. In 2001/2 we managed three subsea tie-backs for Kerr McGee from our Aberdeen offices – South Gryphon, Janice NWP and Jessie. In addition we undertook key engineering and management roles within the project teams for the Leadon, Maclure and Tullich developments. Other subsea developments in which Zenocean has been involved include Scarab and Saffron, offshore Egypt; Conoco Banff; DNO Heather North Terrace, .

Consents and Compliance

Zenocean is experienced in the preparation of Pipeline Works Authorisations, Major Accident Prevention Documents, Safety Case inputs, Well Regulatory Consents, Dropped Object Assessments, Fisheries Liason, Integrity Management Plans, Vessel Operating Guidelines, etc.
