The management team is supported by engineering, technical and administrative personnel in all the disciplines necessary to deliver the highest standards of service to our clients.
James McLean, Managing Director
James McLean has over 35 years involvement in the subsea industry. He started his career as a Commercial Diver working on air and deepwater saturation projects. Through the 1980’s he became involved in sales and marketing within the diving and ROV industries, later becoming Marketing Manager for Sonat Subsea Services Limited. Following a management buyout of this company he assumed the position of Marketing Director and was a principal member of the team who developed the organisation, by then called Sonsub, to become the market leader in diverless intervention. After the sale of Sonsub he founded Underwater Contractors Limited in 1990 and specialised in the areas of remote vehicle and subsea engineering. In 1994 he effected the sale of Underwater Contractors and formed Zenocean.
John Lindsay, Manager - Projects
John has 25 years experience in the subsea sector. Upon joining Zenocean in 1996 John assumed the role of senior engineer for Zenocean’s long term subsea support contract with Kerr-McGee. In this role he was responsible for managing multi-disciplinary teams from across a range of companies to provide cost-effective tie-back solutions John was appointed Manager - OPEX Projects in 2004 and is responsible for servicing a range of clients including operators (including Shell, CNR, Kerr-McGee, Paladin, Vienco), and Diving Contractors (ISS, Bibby and Technip Offshore) specialising in a range of interventions and infill and small field developments utilising lean project management techniques to maximise the value that can be released in small field developments.
